How to build a recruiting package for a college program.
When a college coach asks what you have, the best answer is one link with exactly the athletes that program needs, film ready to play. Here is how to put that together.
Start from the college's needs, not your roster
Look at the program before you pick athletes: what positions graduate this year, what their roster is thin on, what level they actually recruit from. A package of three right fits beats a flyer with your whole roster. Coaches remember which schools send signal and which send noise.
Pick the athletes honestly
Include the athlete the coach asked about, plus the one or two who genuinely project to that level and need. Resist adding the senior whose family is pushing hardest. One mismatch costs you credibility on the next send.
What each athlete needs on the page
- Name, class year, position, honest height and weight
- Current season stats and last season beside them
- Film that plays on the page, no login, best plays first
- Academic basics a recruiter cares about
- A way to request transcripts or contact through the school, not the athlete's cell number
Send one link, then stay out of the way
Attachments get lost and logins kill momentum. Put the package behind a single link, send it with two sentences of context, and offer the one thing only you have: your honest read on each athlete as a person. Then let the pages work.
The assembled version
On NextLevl school sites this is a built-in motion: a coach filters the roster, picks the athletes for one college program, and sends a single link. The college coach sees clean profiles with film and nothing else. The coach side page shows where it lives.
